How is it not hypocritical to delete your Substack account but keep your Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or Threads accounts? Meta and X have knowingly, greedily played deterministic roles in mass murder and suppression, especially due to algorithmic amplification. As but one example, read Erin Kissane’s analysis of Meta’s atrocities in Myanmar:

[Facebook] played what the UN called “a determining role” in the genocide of the Rohingya people. A genocide which included mass rape and sexual mutilation, the maiming and murder of thousands of civilians including children and babies, large-scale forced displacement, and torture.
